I feel like I wanna push back a little on the first point because for me I've noticed that it's often how I'm reading (or consuming) that allows me to understand. So I think words do have this capacity when they connect with us deeply... the words unlock something for me as a shift in perspective leading to transformation

Isaac, I really appreciate this pushback! You're absolutely right. Words can absolutely create those shifts when they land at the right moment. I think what you're describing is that alchemy of readiness meeting insight, where the words become the catalyst for embodied understanding.

Maybe the distinction isn't that words can't transform us, but that transformation requires something in us to meet them halfway? Like the words unlock something, but we still have to walk through the door they've opened.

Either way, I love this nuance. Thank you for adding depth to the conversation. 💙

I love that you shared this. The image of you sitting with discomfort for weeks really resonates. That's exactly it, right? The gap between knowing the concept of "letting go" and actually feeling your grip loosen in real time.

And yes to catching ourselves mid-scroll! I think that awareness itself is part of the practice. We're probably always going to chase Vidya a little (I know I am), but recognizing it happening feels like growth too.

Thanks for reading and sharing your experience. 🙏
